3: It’s pretty obvious this blog is not about music or theater anymore. To all of my singer followers, I apologize. If there are any major theater developments in my life or in the theater world I will comment, but for now I’m going to stick with food-related posts.

Clearwater jazz fest was fun this year.
Good company.
Had a few problems with the way the volunteers treated myself and other members of my party but will be sure to write a lovely letter to them soon enough!
Oh and the Mike Markaverich Trio did an odd scat-meow tune from the movie, “The Aristocats”

If I could describe my adult life (in one cheesy word) so far, starting from college, it would be, “Detours”
Starting to feel like I’m on the right track. Trying to keep my confidence level up.
Had a gig singing opera and theater standards at a restaurant tonight
Fellow singers will join me when I say,
“THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST/MOST AWKWARD SINGING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE”

Besides Dianne Reeves I’m not really familiar with a lot of these acts (Kevin Eubanks doesn’t count, unless he can prove me wrong)
Looks like a lot of these are local acts, which is good on one hand for the performers themselves, but in past years the festival has brought BIG names to this town it doesn’t usually see. (Bill Evans trio! Jane Monheit!)

Anyone who hasn’t been to the Clearwater Jazz Festival you MUST check it out.
It’s right by the water, it’s usually quite nice and cool, local vendors and drinks and OH YEAH IT’S FREE
You may need to wade through some shitty “smooth jazz” acts but it’s worth it if you enjoy live music.
