It was a valant effort.
So so many mistakes made.
One of the biggest was cutting the pieces too large, they broke a bit. They were uneven. I ended up trimming the sides to make it a circle. woops.
Also the Mousseline fell terribly, I added more cornstarch and unfortunately powdered sugar. I’m not sure how to go about making it next time. Possibly another recipe?
The buttercream around the outside is a variation of a Martha Stewart recipe. The cake and mousseline are from The Fundamental Techniques of Classic Pastry Arts book.
