Getting ready for Labor Day
Here’s the blue, tomorrow I’ll put up the red and white
I finally made my brother, “Cake pops”
The popular Starbucks treat.
To make:
-Crumble up cake (baked and cooled) with frosting
-Coat with whatever you have (I used milk and white chocolate)
-Decorate with whatever you have (I used pecans, some gum paste decorations, peppermint, chocolate chips and marshmallow, powd. sugar and sprinkles)
-Put em on a stick

I have to admit, I stopped and smiled at the cake a few times when making it.
A belated-joint bday cake for my brother and his wife (not twins, thankfully, born within a week of eachother)
The cake itself isn’t exciting, my brother likes to eat everything store bought (yuck gross barf) so as dirty as I felt making a cake from a box and using frosting from a can (whose ingedients sounded more like a medical cream than a food) it did give me more time to focus on decorating.
- for any dog nerds out there, this cake represents a short haired wiener pup.
