Making my Mom’s birthday cake tomorrow.
I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she gave me about 3 different options.
So I’m going to make them all
:)
belljars- asked: Ahhhh I'm going to culinary school starting next April and all of your pastry art creativeness makes me so jealous! However, I'm going for savory arts hahaha. I just got a piping bag with a lot of different tips and I got so excited. People didn't understand! What's your favorite cake/icing blend?

saint-rita asked: I go to George Fox University, in Oregon. I just had my senior recital a few weeks ago as well, but the department hasn't mastered my CD yet so I haven't been able to relentlessly pick everything apart. What voice type do you consider yourself and what's your next professional step toward pursuing your goals as a musician? I'm graduating with a BA in December, then taking a...

“Where there’s a will there’s a way. I willed this.”- Richard Blais, the Woody Allen of cooking
st-rita asked: What a big, lovely voice you have! I listened to the audio clips you posted from your senior recital. Was this for undergrad or graduate school? How old are you? I’m a senior vocal performance major at a small private undergrad university, so I don’t have many peers to compare myself to. I’m curious. :)
Thank you very much! Those clips were from my...

It’s something you work on every single day for at least an hour a day.
It uses the same muscles you use when shitting, combined with the lung capacity you use when running up a flight of stairs.

Not having a creative outlet in your life is like leaving a cake in the oven until it burns….
If you don’t take it out you are still going to have a cake, but it’s going to taste like crap.

An email from my Aunt
“So last night we spoke to Uncle C who is approaching 93 and he goes to the cemetery every Sunday to see Aunt M, his widow who died 2 years ago. So I asked Uncle P if he will come to the cemetery every weekend if I go first and of course he said, “Hell no”.
So I told him that if he goes first I will go every weekend to see him, but I will bring my new boyfriend with me!!!”

You never know what to expect when a soprano ventures outside of the world of opera. Renee Fleming, arguably the most recognizable opera singer today, carries the kind of clout that allows her to make recordings of any project she’s interested in perusing. Her crossover attempts include two…

I had a dream last night that all of my bad singing habits came back in a combination of all the worst auditions I’ve ever had. The pianist was fucking the song up and singing along with me, the auditor was correcting my german diction before I even sang the word and I had absolutely no top or bottom register.
I was so scared in the actual dream because I sounded today what I sounded like 5...

notsnagglepuss asked: Your ‘Summertime’ was beautiful. Was this the version you did when you were all boozed up?
Thanks Mikey, not sure which boozey solo your thinking of but this was the encore for my senior recital. So I was on crack for this one.
