Good Lieder, in my opinion, sounds like you are telling a story to a friend something that just happened to you an hour ago.
You are still trying to figure it out, it’s brand new but not too new that you are rushing through it, exciting, confusing and eventually you resolve it through your story telling.
That and sounding like Jessye Norman or Fritz Wunderlich
